In fact it is virtually unrecognisable to anyone who didn't live in those times. Honour, decency, public spirit, truthfulness and modesty was common back then. Why, people even had consideration for others. We had hardly any 'rights' or 'entitlements' that would be recognised by modern yoof - and yet we had freedoms that no longer seem to exist. Progress?
