Stop Press ++ Lord Taylor of Warwick ++

Lord Taylor's strangely prophetic web site......

Perhaps the website designer is working on some horizontal bars? Or did he mean ‘charges will occur from time to time’?

The Crown Prosecution Service said Lord Taylor, whose full name is John David Beckett Taylor, has been summonsed to face six charges of false accounting.

He is accused of dishonestly claiming more than £11,000 in overnight subsistence and mileage claims.

He is the sixth person to be charged as a result of a Metropolitan Police investigation, and will appear at the City of Westminster magistrates’ court on Friday August 13.

This is a valuable public service, and I have added it to my research department.

Just one small point though: You say on the map “Plot of the locations of political shenanigans that are occuring in this shiny, new, post-democratic, coalition government (2010 – ?).”

But it includes Prescott being Lorded — nothing to do with the coalition, but part of the lingering aroma of the Brown regime. Is there another sleaze-o-scope for NuLabour’s rule?

But well worth referring to once a week anyway.

…and still, hundreds of House of Conmen troughers are walking around freely without a criminal record to their name.

This is all getting a bit beyond me. Not only were they spending money that Britain didn’t have, they were grossly lining their own pockets to the tune of amounts that I will never see or hope to rely on.
Forty odd years of working and paying for a Pension and I am now reduced to managing on

OT, Anna, but I was wondering if you’d had any additions to the peacock clan recently…

I got first sight of my new neighbours this afternoon.

5 Chicks from one hen – almost unheard of as far as I know.

There are a great many more where this little (still to be proved guilty) gentleman has come from.

In re the above

“Daddy, what does endemic mean?” (Beaming angelic face)
“Well..it’s hard to explain.. .” (Troubled frown behind paper)
“Does it mean like “silly” Daddy?” (Big pout!)
“No, sweetheart..it’s more like, like when a lot of people all agree…” (More frowning, and paper is rustled)
“Like the brownies?” (Twirls hair)
“Sort of, angel, only more…” (Furrowed brow)
“Is it like what I saw Mrs Cribbins doing with Mr Crabtree in his car at school…?” (Wide eyed innocence)
“WHAT! Er no, that was, well when a daddy meets a mummy…oh er!” (Perspiration)
“Tell me proper, Daddy” (Insistent, tears imminent).
“Well, er… read this…” ( Inspired smile, hands over the paper)

Frequent visitor, but first comment on this excellent site.
Gildas, (23:39), superb – as ever.

Keep up the good work.

And, Anna, thanks for your hosting and ”scribblings” too. You are after my own heart.
