Lloyd’s Sharia Account.

imagesIf you bank with Lloyd’s – demand a ‘Sharia Account‘.

The Islamic account is available to all customers at Lloyd’s TSB. In theory, anyone who does not need a permanent overdraft facility could switch to this account to avoid being hit by interest charges for going into the red.

A Lloyds TSB spokesman said: ‘The Islamic current account is for customers who cannot receive credit or debit interest due to their religious beliefs.

‘All of our Islamic accounts comply with Islamic law and are available to anyone regardless of background or faith.

Customers with standard current accounts who go into the red by at least £100 without authorisation are hit with an ‘unplanned overdraft fee’ of £20 a day for a maximum of ten days. This could mean a customer has to pay £200 in one month.

If your religious beliefs are offended by the idea of paying such swingeing interest rates to Lloyd’s Bank – you now know the answer.

You kid me not …

Quickly checked that paper on-line now and it struck me again that it seems to be important there to quote the value of the housing in most articles, like : “Paramedics discovered Mr Thomas’s body after they were called to the £400,000 detached house in Bridgend, South Wales, in the early hours of Friday”

Good night :-)

The value of housing is more important than describing the race of perpetrators of crime. Wonder why?

And with this the end just feels closer and closer.
