Foster’s XXXX

by Anna Raccoon on June 17, 2009

fostersPatrick Foster’s ‘outing’ of the blogger Nightjack has created a firestorm in the blogging world.

Old Holborn, with characteristic chutzpah, has outed young Patrick in return. If Patrick is congratulating himself this morning, I  urge him caution. It would appear to be the case that it was Nighjack’s opposition to being outed that may have saved young Patrick from waking up in a cell, duly fingerprinted and DNA tested – to be retained of course.

Ironically, Justice Eady, in upholding Antony White, QC, for The Times, argument that there was a public interest in non-compliance by a police officer with his obligations under the statutory code governing police behaviour simultaneously provided Foster’s defence under Vernon Croaker’s nasty little piece of work – the 2009 No.58 (C.6) – Prevention And Suppression Of Terrorism – The Counter-Terrorism Act 2008 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2009.

Without J Eady’s intervention, fortuitously at Nightjack’s request, Foster would have been forced to prove his innocence – after being charged, of course, for investigating a Police Officer. See HERE.

Those screaming for Eady’s head on a pike this morning, might like to reflect on the fact that Eady has just parked his tank very neatly on Croaker’s lawn.

My ire is reserved for the Times with its unpleasant little kiss and tell story in the first place.
