Your tale is very true. I can atest to the exact same 'treatment'. Welfare of the population and good 'customer' service have gone down the pan probably in direct relation to the increase in 'professionalisationism'. Whether it's in health or at the local council, the job centre or social services or the benefits office - the people are seen as scum by these invidious, inter-bred, over promoted loons. Loons who are happy to deride you, happy to treat you with contempt, happy to provide any service on THEIR terms, relevant or otherwise without accountability. Experience is worthless in the hunt for a job thesedays you have to have a dumbed down qualification such as NVQ or degree in media admiration. The doctors are probably chosen in an X-Factor kind of process now. We're all Dooooomed. As you say it's not 'a theory', it is officially a religion, the tribunal for unfair dismissal has said so - in fact it is only an hypothesis based on unproven secret data.
