Ok, will do, though I’m right in the middle of knocking out a “newcomer’s first impressions” essay sort of thingy about Madeleine at the mo’, and it seems to be going on a bit. Soon as that’s done though I’ll get onto that other thing.

Political: Here follows some details on what Gordo was talking about at the EU/Africa Lisbon summit – wikipedia still carries some notes about the controversies surrounding this summit, which included discussions, and presumably failing, surround Darfur and the presence of everyones favourite dictator, Robert Mugabe.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, or, in this case, behind the front page of the tabloids…

2. Suitcases. It is a long shot but are their any images online of the Tapas nine arriving on the holiday with their suitcases? Are there any images of them leaving? Would be interesting to see if these match…

Yep! Read it as suggested. I think the Editor of Private Eye knows what he is saying here. Maybe he knows as much as some of the rest of us do ……………. ie, that the claims have not stood up to ‘forensic scrutiny’ because the forensic scientists who carried out the tests were not independent investigators nor did they come even close to the word ‘scrutiny’. Cursory or superficial would have been more apt words for the type of tests they carried out. Something definitely not right about the FSS reports according to The Files.

The major point though here is that Private Eye have dared to even mention the Clan at all. I am sure you must have noticed that they appear to have deliberately avoided it for two years. Peter Cook wouldn’t ………. because thousands of people would have jumped in to help him pay any court costs. I must say that I loved P.E.s take on all the daily Press front-covers though. Hysterical!

The Jersey case is of course an enormous bowl of hot potatoes with a side-dish of worms.

Super observation Chatelaine! It rather puts me in mind of Jeremiah Paxoman …………. The chappie who had trouble with his underpants – and who used to be a bit of of a renegade but has since conformed to the BBC party line and toes it rather badly – (Until he gets a better TV deal.)

Jeremiah Paxoman interviewed the snarling Merry Gerry after the ex-arguido’s grand debut foray into the realms of the Select Crematorium Committee. I still don’t know why Merry Gerry had the privilege of having a pre-recorded interview with Paxoman ………….. except for the lame excuse of Merry Gerry’s precious time being short that week ……………. But I detected all the squirmy moments were edited out – save for a very odd few.

Of course I could not fail to notice that Paxoman used a quite similar male version of the Oprah expressions …………… and he looked a bit stuffed and bored as well. Just about the lamest of lame interviews I have ever seen.

Oprah didn’t seem quite as relaxed and believing as she does when she is relaxed and believing did she? Maybe she has been up late all week reading our emails!
